River Falls Golf Club
A golf club website changes constantly. Rates move with the season, news and events come and go, and the people making those updates run a golf course for a living. The club is on Squarespace, and the honest problem was never how the site looked ... it is who can keep it current.
Designed around the person updating it
The rebuild is in Statamic and the editing side was designed first. Rates, news, and events each get their own simple form: staff fill in fields, and the page takes care of itself. Nobody has to think about layout to post a Friday event, and nothing they type can break the design.
Nothing the members use changed
The club runs on ClubCaddie, and all of that keeps working exactly as it does now. The new site is built around the systems the club already operates instead of asking them to change how they run, so nothing a member touches is disturbed by the rebuild.
It is finished and sitting on a staging server, built so the staff can maintain it themselves, on a booking experience golfers never have to relearn. The club has not scheduled the switch yet.
This one has not gone live yet, so there is nothing to link to. The old site is still up at the domain.
